Yala National Park the leopard haven in the world. The second largest park in the country. Situated in the southern border of the island spreading over 979 square kilometers consisting of 5 blocks. Block 1 estimated to have about 70 leopards although a survey hasn’t been done in the recent past. I have personally identified 44 individual leopards and continue to track them. Yala is also home to the sloth bear, elephants, aquatic birds and various other animals a photographers paradise.
